Prior to this week, we have only seen one team start 7-0 and five teams start 6-1. This is the first time in league history that we have two 6-1 teams in the same season as Erik & Jacob become the 7th and 8th teams to start 6-1 or better. Five out of those six teams made the playoffs (83%).
Erik becomes the first owner in history to score at least 10 points from every single position. Erik also moves into first place for points scored on the season with 797 which is a pace of 1,594 total points, just a little bit behind the record pace. His 147 points in Week 7 are a season high through this point. Erik also passes Jake to move into 4th place for most career 100 point games. This was his 5th consecutive win. Erik has scored over 100 points 5 times this season, and has not scored less than 90. This was Erik’s 4th consecutive win over Sean, and the most points ever scored in their series. He is also off to a 4-0 start in his division.
Terrance has now scored over 100 points in 4 straight weeks which is the 2nd longest streak of this season. He has now posted a league-high 70 career games with over 100 points. Terrance becomes the 4th owner to win 80 career games. The 66 point win over Ryan is the highest margin of victory we’ve seen in 2021.
Jacob’s streak of 6 consecutive 100 points games comes to end. The streak is tied for 3rd most all-time, but it remains the record for most consecutive 100 point games to start a season. Jacob passes Schweg to move into 5th place on the most career wins list. This was his 4th consecutive win. Jacob also passes Jake to move into 3rd place for career winning percentage.
Aaron gets his 4th consecutive win against Jake to lift his record to 13-8-1 against him.
After a 2-0 start, Chase is 0-4-1 since. He earns loser’s letter duty for the 3rd time this season.
Jake has now started 4 different quarterbacks this season while no one else has started more than 2.
After starting 1-11 in his career against Schweg, Jarrett is now 5-2 in his last 7 games against him.
After a 3-0 start, Ryan is 0-4 since. He has started a league-high 26 different starters so far. The 66 point loss was Ryan’s worst defeat in his career.
Aaron & Jake now sit at 4-3, while Sean is at 3-3-1. Historically, teams with 3 losses through 7 weeks have a 48% chance of making the playoffs.
Ryan, Jarrett & Chase all have 4 losses and historically have a 25% chance of making the playoffs.
Only one 2-5 team has ever made the playoffs which was Terrance’s 2015 team which finished 3rd. That was thanks to the big DeAngelo Williams waiver add. So there is a 6% chance that Schweg makes the playoffs.
Despite the win for Terrance, no 1-6 team has ever made the playoffs as he will most likely need to win every game from here on out.
